Dana Lowell has been involved with development and testing of advanced transportation technologies for over 24 years, beginning as head of research and development for the MTA New York City Transit Department of Buses, where he helped to bring CNG and hybrid-electric buses into the fleet and developed and managed a program to retrofit over 3,000 diesel buses with emissions controls. He currently serves as the Technical Director of MJB&A’s transportation group, providing clients with strategic analysis, project management, and technical support for mobile source emissions reduction programs. His primary focus is on providing technical support to transit agencies to plan for implementation of electric transit buses. Dana’s previous work includes transit agencies and large fleet operators, managing emissions and in-use testing programs for buses, and safety evaluations associated with hydrogen fuel cell, natural gas, and electric and hybrid-electric commercial trucks. He currently is Senior Vice President - Technical Director at MJ Bradley & Associates.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Stern School at New York University.
