Upgrading to Electric: Facility Modifications for Electric Vehicles

Jewels' session will discuss the challenges of charging and nightly servicing a true fleet of BEBs. The discussion will cover types of BEB chargers (overhead, in-ground, plug-in), charger location (shared charger vs in-place parking space dedicated charging), and upgrading electrical service and electrical equipment.

Each topic will focus on lessons learned from constructed facilities to ongoing future proofing existing bus facilities, new maintenance and operations facilities designed around BEBs to serve the ever increasing BEB presence within America's transit agencies.

This session will run 25 minutes inclusive of Q&A.

This session is on the Main Route - Morning.
